B Corp

Recertifying as a B Corp in 2023 with a 30+ points improvement was thanks to the decision we took to replace our entire product collection less than a year after initial certification to one that is more local, natural, organic, ethical and responsible.

Product upgrades including Swedish rapeseed wax candles, organic personal care and more responsible packaging, as well as refugee and employee diversity policies and our work for the B Corp Beauty Coalition, all contributed to our improved score.

The B Corp Beauty Coalition is a collective action initiative of over 70 B Corps committed to working together to improve the environmental standards of the beauty industry. Skandinavisk is a founding member, and current Chair of the Supervisory Board.

In March 2023, the coalition published the 'B Beauty Navigator' – an online database of beauty better practice designed to help beauty companies and beauty shoppers make more sustainability-oriented choices. 

Says Shaun, "We march under the banner ‘B Beauty’, and we aim to broaden the meaning of beauty itself, from one focused on the self, to one where the protection of the beauty of nature is held just as important."
